I’ve been obsessing over the Gucci Marmont pump since last year’s fall collection hit the runway! The shoe comes in a higher heel and this low heel that is the perfect 9-to-9 height. I could seriously wear this shoe to work all day then hit an evening event no problem. Both the height and style transition from work to evening, skinny jeans to pants to skirts and dresses.
This season we’re also seeing a lot of suede treatments in shoes, even though we’re moving into summer styles. The soft suede breathes well and adds texture to your look without looking heavy. Looking forward to years and years with these shoes.
The past couple of weeks have meant some exciting travel for me — Montreal and Seattle mostly — and I’ve had the chance to get in some amazing shopping as well. Can’t wait to share everything with you!
I blogged about the Neiman Marcus POPSUGAR Limited Edition box a couple of weeks ago. I resisted buying at the time (shocking, I know!) because $250 is a lot to spend when you don’t know what you’re getting. Well, wait no more, as the full box spoilers are now available.
The Clare V. foldover clutch is valued at $220, almost the cost of the box. I know several people on my gift list who would love this. But that’s not what has me most excited. The Missoni Home candle is gorgeous and a piece of art on its own that would look great in the family room. The other items, including the picture frame and the small jewelry box would also make great gifts.
Now that you know what’s in the box, what do you think?! Personally, I’ll likely skip this one. While it’s a great value – $250 for over $650 in products – the candle is the only thing I’m swooning over. With all the holiday sales starting already, I can spend $250 more thoughtfully for similar items.
Can you even believe today is the last day of June?! This month has just flown by, and the 4th of July holiday weekend will be here before you know it. I love the Fourth — grilling out, soaking up some rays on the boat, and just relaxing by the pool. It’s always a great time for family and friends, and you never know who is going to stop by when.
That’s why I love having a fashionable swim cover up. If we stop the boat for lunch I can pull it on with shorts and still look chic, or even if I’m just around the pool waiting for the fireworks to begin I’m getting my fashion on! Oversized sunglasses and a hat are a must this time of year, and a metallic tote will complete your look.
While out shopping this weekend I found several great coverup options, from cute and reasonable coverups at the Gap to this amazing Missoni poncho at Saks. What’s your favorite way to cover?
Sunglasses – Gucci | Tory Burch Thea tote – $495 | BCBG statement necklace $138 | Missoni poncho $625
Spring is the perfect time of year for skirts! I think it’s because I’ve felt bundled up all winter, and now I’m ready to shed all those layers.
I’ve been eyeing this chiffon skirt from Ann Taylor ever since it started getting warmer outside. It has the effect of pleating but in a really flirty way and would look great paired with a soft black blouse and strappy heels. Oh, and it’s an additional 40% off now, so it’s a must have!
This M Missoni skirt from Piperlime has a great graphic print with subtle hints of pink that I love. This is such a great staple piece – I can see wearing it through just about any season by changing the accessories and shoes. So while it’s definitely an investment piece, it’s worth it.
