It’s one of my favorite sales of the year, the Julie Vos sample sale! I was introduced to her artisan opulence style a couple of years ago and was immediately a huge fan. All of her pieces feature natural gemstones set in 24k gold plate, and her prices are surprisingly affordable. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen how I love to pair her bangles and earrings with just about everything.
So don’t miss out on the perfect time to invest in jewelry you’ll wear for year and years. Now, on to deciding what to buy!!
Take your boho chic look to the next level with globally inspired jewelry and accessories! If you’re like me, you’re wearing a lot of gold with stones and tassels, but a great way to add color and elevate your look is with beaded accents and bright handbags. I can just imaging that I’m browsing the souk in Marrakech!
Valentine’s Day is more than just a day to celebrate with your significant other, it’s the perfect day to thank a close friend, sister, or daughter for being a special part of your life. Kendra Scott is right on point with her earring and necklace gift sets in colors from soft subtle pinks to electric fushia.
I’m also a huge fan of giving a candle as a gift, and this one from Free People is so lovely. The opalescent jar and sleek design will look perfect on a vanity or dresser.
For the beauty queen in your life, this lipstick trio from Tom Ford is ideal. The colors will mix and match with just about everything in her spring wardrobe!
One of my favorite jewelry trends over the past couple of seasons is the emergence of mixed metals. The idea that you need to choose between gold and silver is out-dated, along with the thought that gold pairs best with warmer colors (think orange and browns) and silver with cooler colors (like blues and purple). Mixing both gold and silver together – along with brass and pewter – adds depth and interest to your look. A bit boho, a bit modern, and right on trend!
This mixed metal necklace from Banana Republic makes a great statement, while allowing you to mix a number of different pieces with it and still look amazing.
I’m obsessed with how expensive these seriously inexpensive hammered metal earrings are! I can see wearing these every day. Another great option is this modern band ring from Chloe, which I’m loving. Whatever you choose, just know that you can pair it with anything, and have fun!
If there’s one accessory you invest in this fall, make it a show-stopping statement necklace. A statement necklace is the one piece that can take a simple outfit and turn it into a memorable look.
This piece from DANNIJO is an amazing combination of sweet and tough, with the floral design accented with Swarovski crystal and plated brass horns. Pair it with a cashmere sweater, or dress up a tank and jacket look.
This leather – yes, leather! – necklace is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall. With Greek Isle appeal and leather fringe, you’ll be looking fierce! Available in a number of colors, though I’m especially drawn to the metallic because it works so well as a neutral.
This chain link necklace from Kenneth Jay Lane has me channeling my inner Real Housewife! The translucent resin will work well with a number a colors, making more versatile than you may think.
Sometimes a sale is just too good to pass up, and the extra 30% off sale items at Tory Burch this weekend is one of those times. Shop now, as items are selling out quickly – as in, the cute Reva keychain that was in my cart was sold out when I went to purchase. Sad. No worries, though, as there are still lots of shoes, handbags, and clothing items to choose from.
A couple of my favorites are the Ravena caftan, originally $350, now just $122; and the Beach zip tote which was $150 and is now a total steal at $73.50. Us the sale code EXTRA30 at checkout to get the discount, now through Monday.
Another brand I obsess over is Julie Vos and her amazing jewelry and scarves. She launched her semi-annual sample sale this morning where you’ll find 24k gold and gemstone pieces that are luxurious and timeless. No code necessary. Enjoy!
If you aren’t familiar with Ashley Pittman and her amazing collection of jewelry, you should be. Though she founded her line just a few years ago, she’s already found her way into the top retailers in the country. Think Bergdorf and Neiman Marcus. I discovered her unique African-inspired pieces a couple of years ago when a friend of hers introduced me to the line. I’ve been obsessed with her style ever since.
Pittman found her inspiration on a trip to Africa and founded her jewelry company, employing Kenyan artisans and workers. 10% of her profits go to the Kamboo Dispensary, which provides healthcare for rural communities, and the Kathiani Primary School, which aids in providing students with clean drinking water and school supplies,
Her beyond fabulous pieces are distinctive and bold, made from horn, bronze and semi-precious stones. The best part is, the bangles look even better stacked! Shop the collection at ashleypittman.com.
