It may still be winter, but we’re starting to see glimpses of spring in the stores, with lighter fabrics and open-toed shoes returning with the upcoming warmer weather. One trend I’m seeing a lot of is the open shoulder or off-the-shoulder look in dresses and blouses.
Admittedly, this is not a look I’ve embraced in the past, mostly because it tended to be more casual and not office appropriate. But with the dressier, more sophisticated styles we’re seeing this year, this is a look that can work for brunch with the girls, date night, or shopping on the town.
Use accessories sparsely, opting for a delicate chain and simple earrings. Add a shrug or wrap a simple cardigan over your shoulders if you need to adhere to an office dress code.
