I travel by air quite a bit, so I’m always considering the perfect travel outfit – one that’s comfortable for lots of walking between gates, yet still looks nice, as you never know who you’ll meet or when you’ll get an upgrade to first class. When so many people are pushing the boundary of way too casual (like not even what I’d wear to grocery shop on Saturday), I tend to follow the lead of celebrities with a few basic fashion travel guidelines:
Comfortable shoes. The Tory Burch Reva ballet flat is one of my go-to travel shoes, because it combines comfort and style with ease. But I also have several pairs of short boots that are great for all the walking you do between gates.
Large scarf. Preferably something lightweight so that I can fold it in my carry bag, but large enough that I can drape it over me if it’s chilly on board the flight. OneKingsLane has several great styles on sale right now!
Large tote. Either a large handbag or larger tote that I can easily slip a smaller purse into. It needs to be able to carry all those in-flight necessities like healthy snacks and an iPad.
Facial Spray. L’Occitane make a great facial mist that’s perfect for rehydrating your skin after a long flight. You’ll look and feel refreshed stepping off the plane.
