Thanksgiving is such a special time of year for me and for my family, with friends and relatives coming together for the holiday. And for lots of food! I come from a family of bakers, so in addition to the traditional Thanksgiving food, there are lot and lots of pies… usually a 1-to-1 pie to person ratio!
Part of the fun of a holiday meal is setting the table — getting out the china and silver that isn’t used that often. We usually have a very traditional table, but with my bohemian style and love of color, I’m thinking of mixing it up a bit this year.
I really enjoy mixing patterns and color – you’ve seen me do this with fashion – and the variety of textures in the china adds an element of interest. More ideas like this one at Furbish.com and their blog.
What a cleaver idea for adding fall colors to the table!
